I've been camping for the past 3 years with a small hooped bivy bag. I discovered the Thous Winds Capricorn 2 in a video and was very impressed by the specs and value compared to some competitors. I was particularly interested in getting a spacious tent that I could camp with my wife in, plenty of headroom, had a big enough porch to store a foldable bicycle, only needed a trekking pole, could handle high winds, fast to set up, outerpitch or combined pitch, has good venting, has plenty of tight outs, made by a good company, and made of sil-poly.
This tent checked all the boxes except sil-poly, but I was willing to sacrifice that (but seriously Thous Winds, please start making this tent or other tents with sil-poly). I've camped with it already and it performed super well. I can pitch this faster than my hooped bivy because you only need to stake it and then push trekking pole in. Done. No poles to put through pole sleeves. The interior space is so nice, in fact it was a pretty windy night but I couldn't feel any of the cold wind blowing through the tent. It was very peaceful inside. I was also able to take it down and pack it up fast. Packing it up is interesting because it is very slippery material but I got the hang of it. I recoomend you pack everything into the stuff sack and save the vent hoops for last (or vice versa).
Additional note about 2 people camping in this: For one person, this tent is massive. It's a tight fit for 2 people within the provided bug net. Make sure your sleeping mats can fit before you go camping. Also you'll need to make sure to pull out the side walls for the 2nd person because the 2nd person will definitly get condensation on them from the wall otherwise. Option 2 is for the 2nd person to sleep in the porch with a bug/splash bivy. This isn't a bad plan as you get way more space.
